Is sleeping in a form of procrastination?

Let’s talk wake-up procrastination, its a thing. Some of us can leap out of bed while others need a literal morning miracle to rise out of bed.

We complain about not being a morning lark (or whatever morning bird of your choice) or a night owl, but what about if its simply an event of procrastination. Anyone ever suffer with that? Yes, I thought you’d heard of it. The question is what part of you is procrastinating on the daily?

Is it your mind, your body or your soul?

Procrastination of your soul is when you wake up and you think 'I hate my life' why do I have to do this. Going to be earlier is not going to help that. Sorry. You've got some bigger decisions to make. Soul searching time!

Procrastination of your mind is when you get overwhelmed at all you have to do and can't remember what you do nor why you do it. Preparing the night before really helps with this. Have your bag packed, your breakfast prepped, your outfit ready and a to-do list with your first task of the morning that will get you on track for a productive day.

Procrastination of the body is what we may regularly run into. Think about it, your body has been in the same place for +/- 8 hours and now it is stiff and heavy. How would you feel after sitting in one place for 8 hours? Not the best right... So it takes a little mental direction here to remind your body that it wants to come to life. Have water by your bed to hydrate, stretch into your limbs, breath fresh air into your lungs and find some sunlight. ☀️ Then you're ready for your day

So next time you’re struggling to wake up… scan the sense with which one needs some fire in the engine. Remember what you need to remember to make this day the best ever.
