The Importance of being Self-Aware
If there is one trait, characteristic and habit that separates the successful from the less successful,
I believe it is self-awareness.
Some of my work is with teenagers which I find refreshing and fun. It helps me remember when I was a teenager and recognize all the learning that I’ve went through since I first knew everything at the tender age of 15 +/- years old. I am convinced that none of us will ever know as much, with as much conviction as we did at that time.
Because what was missing was a self-awareness that can really only come from time, learning and exploration.
Self-awareness is the number one tool for growth. It is the catalyst, the calling and the measure of our growth. Our self-awareness of our longings and discontents tells us it is time for growth. Our self-awareness of our joy and happiness tells us that we are on the right track to being where and who we are supposed to be.
Do you want personal growth? Do you want to live a life you love?
Listen to your small inner voice that is there to help you. Have a dialogue with this small inner voice that is the voice of your soul. From there you will come alive.
Self-awareness is key to identifying and healing your inner hurt, pain and fear to live the life you want.
